An Unexpected Feeling of Home

An Unexpected Feeling of Home

The drive home was different.  We weren’t heading to another magical place to explore; we were heading back to the reality we’d left behind as we embarked on this magical adventure. There were children to tend to, a class to prepare for that we were all co-sharing as...

The Magic of Not Knowing

The Magic of Not Knowing

Driving into the town of Oxford felt exciting.  There was an air of familiarity I couldn’t place My curiosity was piqued.  What might I discover here? I knew Oxford was a big college town being the home to one of the most prestigious schools in the UK from what my...

What’s In The Box??

What’s In The Box??

The road to our next destination had become dark, the car was quiet. After driving for some time, we finally arrived at our destination, The Egypt Mill which meant we were now in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.  At least that's what the text on the picture I took said! I...

There’s More???

There’s More???

I settle into my seat on the bus thinking about everything that just happened and picked up my phone to check my pictures.  Wait, there’s no way we’ve been here for an hour and a half, it feels like we’ve only been here ten minutes. Once again, I was awe of the magic...

Learning to Receive

Learning to Receive

The ride home from the stable had me reflecting on how much I missed being able to ride and interact with horses.  I realized it was the one part of my life that came in and out like the tide.  So many times, horses along with an opportunity to ride appeared out of...

Following the Breadcrumbs

Following the Breadcrumbs

I was feeling change coming and, in that moment, I began to realize I’d been here before. My life was going to shift, once again, in a way I couldn’t foresee.  I needed to stay focused and keep packing, even though I still didn’t have a destination or plan, the only...

An Unexpected Move

An Unexpected Move

If someone would’ve told me, I was moving to Florida to live on a five-acre homestead with chickens, quail and peacocks surrounded by nature beauty and horses I would’ve laughed at them and said “apparently you don’t know me very well.  I don’t do extreme heat, and...

Welcome to "Returning to Myself."

For a long time, I thought healing meant becoming someone new.  Now I believe healing is often the gentle process of returning to who we have always been beneath fear, expectations, and the stories we've carried.

This blog is a place where I'll share that journey—not because I have all the answers, but because I've learned there is value in telling the truth about our lives.

Over the years I've worn many hats: herbalist, business owner, artist, student of nature, and someone who has walked through cancer twice. Each experience has changed me, but none has defined me completely.

Here I'll write about what I'm learning through art, herbs, the natural world, relationships, self-worth, and the quiet ways life continues to teach me. Some posts may be deeply personal. Others may simply be reflections sparked by a flower, a painting, or a moment of unexpected clarity.

If something I share resonates with you, I hope it reminds you to trust your own inner wisdom above all else. My journey is my own. Yours will be beautifully unique.

Thank you for being here. I'm grateful our paths have crossed.
